Flourishing through life 

At the speed of light 

You can’t hide someone 

that has struggled in the dark 

To reach the light

Moonlight or sunlight 

Meant to be seen and to exist

Not for herself 

Only for what she has to give

Not to be used to gain anything

You may want in your own life

For the truth holds her together 

Purity of her words 

And what her eyes have held

This is me

I’ve swam in my own tears

To reach the shore and to believe 

In my own worth

There is no pretend for me

To gain another’s love 

Hidden is not meant for me

Not when carrying 

So much love

It drowns me in it’s words

In it’s emotions 

In it’s acts

Don’t be fooled 

That you may have a hold of me

To be there when you feel

No one else can

I’m meant to have 

In my entirety, not parts 

You feel you need 

Hidden is not for the light 

Or words of the night

If there is something too

Overwhelming about me

You are right 

For I recognize the enormity

For my life is extraordinary 

For I was born in war

And search for peace

Only wishes to love

Accepting everything you are

The good, the bad, the ugly

With no games, no lies
