Layers

Once part of me
Each section an emotion
Each one enveloped by
An experience
Droplets of memories
Only as reminders
Never to look back
Only to feel and learn
To not repeat
There should never
Be regret
When a lesson is learned
For there is beauty
In forgiveness of oneself
As each layer disappears
And a better you emerges
Past cannot be changed
So why regret
Find joy in the present
And dreams in the future
A chance to renew
A chance to believe

Water

Water..the only consistence
To fill her heart, the one thing
To count on to flow through
Her life and wash away what
Didn’t belong
Born with a stubborn heart
That only wishes to see the
Best in others…
Lessons learned to remember
A willow planted by the river’s edge
will always quench
The thirst of others
But never can the same be done
For her,
for to give is all she knows

Wait for Me

20130611-231538.jpg

Wait for me to reach your place of tranquil beauty

Wait for me to be worthy of such a crown

I have died a thousand deaths
To be forgiven a thousand more

Stretching my broken wings and fly
Carry me to your lodging
By the river of streams of life
To the willow tree that cannot be broken
Where I can rest my heart and mind

Learned not to be afraid to share
my imperfection
Forgave myself for revealing deep within, escaping free
stagnant remnants of coal
That’s how the iridescent
gold is found

Didn’t judge as he may have judged himself
Still have foreseen the best of him amongst the clouds

I guess I belong in the temple garden
as a Cala Lily
amongst the roses and daffodils,
with the sun behind me so I can see

Wearing my white gown feet bare to purity of the ground

As I dance with a feather to write these words down
Music notes escape as ink from my mind
To not only write my story but to sing my song

I’m at awe at the way you have answered my prayers

Looking above as specks of water touched my face
You have colored the sky just for me

I have cried a countless tears
To make an ocean of my life appear
Wait for me to reach the shore
I do not belong in this place called earth, but in the temple ground dancing the wind drawing the beauty you foretold to be mine
Wait, wait for me…

Heart Tears

20130528-235316.jpg

Trying to do what’s right isn’t the hardest part
It’s the letting go when your heart tears

Heart tears – a condition of heartache, that when words don’t console the heart; the heart without being consoled, it tears, crying within

Asking why and knowing why are of little importance
You know all the answers and all the reasons

Some how you opened more than you should have
Kept going so not to lose them
Imperfect heart lost them anyway
even if it may be temporary
the loss is felt as if forever

What was needed by them was for their betterment it was stated
But while this is so, the decision drastically made takes away
Not what you wanted but what you didn’t realize then you needed

Just asked for a chance for a different path, but the door is shut
So Bye became the only word to make sense the only word your trembling hands can write

While your head pounds to the rhythm of the rain drops outside

Heart tears, nothing to console
The only thing to do is write and pray
And wish for a better way
When prayer is answered,
forgiven and the heart tears wiped away

Who you are overall outweighs the momentary error
That the laughter, smiles and goodness shared grow to touch the
Magnificence of your love and how deep you truly care
That the “for a while” is true and short and time
Flies by your prayer’s persistence…

Philippians 4:6 – “…but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God.”
